Heres to Driving on the Left Side!

i am not writing from our lap top, but rather one from the rowdy hostel we are staying at in Nelson, (which is near the norther tip of the south island of New Zealand) so the pictures will have to come later, but they will be worth it. there is rumor to have Chris's first experience of driving on the left side of the road on video!!! we have yet to experience Barb driving on the left side, but much laughter screaming and screeching were in order when i first gave it a whirl... good thing Dad wasn't in the car. after spending a day in Kaikoura where we went swimming with wild dolphins in the middle of the ocean, got with in 30 feet of about 10 seal, and Chris seeing a sperm whale (lets just say that wet suits are not attractive on anyone... especially on overly large turbo calves!), we headed north to Nelson. we intend to stay here a few days and do some kayaking and hiking. a few things we have discovered along the way include: 1. when leaving the gas station the attendant said to Barb "Cheers Love!"... this a term Barb and i have become quite fond of. it makes one feel quite special. so if you could all say this to us in parting when we return we would appreciate it! 2. after opening his first bag of peanut M&M's, Chris discovered that they are in fact NOT the same as the one's in the US. his first comment about them was that the peanuts are small, and secondly that there is more chocolate due to the peanuts being smaller and the chocolate is sweeter than the ones back in the states. if anyone would like to help make our trip more enjoyable you may send him packages of peanut M&M's. 3. Chris also noted that Burger King woppers are not the same in the states either... i did not notice any difference, but this could be due to the fact that i has probably been about 4 years since i ate at burger king, and after tonight i remembered why!... actually not so bad, nice piece of home. that is all for now. hope you all are you doing well back in the states. we miss you and love you!
